The Interact Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievements, innovations, and contributions in digital workplaces and internal communications. Discover more about this year’s winners in Interact’s own intranet awards.

Now in their 12th year, the Interact Excellence (INTx) Awards recognize and celebrate a diverse range of organizations from around the globe. Based on the work they have done to elevate internal communication and employee engagement, these intranet awards highlight enterprises and individuals who have delivered remarkable intranet and digital workplace solutions for their users.

Entries to the INTx Awards are submitted under ten main categories. In addition, there is a Judge’s Award for Innovation, awarded to entries that don’t fit inside the box of an existing category, but deserve unique recognition.

A word from Interact

“Organizations have faced significant challenges over the past two years, and this year’s INTx entries demonstrate that they have done so by putting communication at the heart of their responses,” said Kris Morrison, VP of Customer Success at Interact.

“The standard was incredibly high, with all of the entries reflecting how the digital workplace remains vital to company culture in a fast-changing world. All of the INTx entrants have displayed innovation and creativity in the use of their intranet software, and we are especially thrilled that the judges have recognized our winners for their skill and ingenuity in creating better workplaces for all. We’re incredibly proud to support them with technology that enables them to connect with everyone in their organizations.”

Meet the judges

For the INTx Awards, Interact assembled a 5-strong panel of global intranet, communications, and engagement professionals to judge this year’s entries.

This multichannel internal communication campaign was so well executed and made certain that Nuance’s people would hit the ground running when its fresh version of ‘The Voice’ (Nuance’s intranet platform) landed. This new digital workspace alleviates the pains of their previous intranet.

Among all of the INTx’s intranet awards, the Digital Workplace Transformation category looks for intranet glow-ups, digital upgrades, tool integrations, and creative uses of tools (Interact or other) to make every employee’s work-life feel complete.

The Hive has a nice balance of culture/people features as well as strategic, business-oriented features. Content that features PEOPLE, rather than programs or policies, along with eye-catching design and the integration with the LMS makes this clearly a one-stop for employees looking to connect as well as excel in their career at the same time.

This is a refreshingly honest and charming account of an intranet relaunch, which is all the harder when staying with the same (excellent) platform!

Best Success Story

What makes the ultimate intranet success story? Success comes in many different forms, but in this case, it ultimately means the platform achieves its purpose. This award celebrates an organization that has taken an instance of intranet software and made it integral to the workforce.

Best Use of Digital Media

Best Use of Digital Media

With digital media dominating social media, it’s clear that the future of intranets and internal communication lies, in no small part, with video and other media formats. The Best Use of Digital Media award recognizes organizations that have successfully harnessed new media to deliver communications in an impressive, innovative way.

This entry showed good use of listening and learning to what was going on and what was needed both inside the organization and in the wider world. The Treehouse launch was supported with a cool animated teaser video, countdown clock and digital TV displays. These were complemented with old school print materials, a scavenger hunt and ongoing competitions to keep the interest and engagement going.
