Connecting global workforces: how Piedmont unified dispersed healthcare workers with a collaborative intranet

Piedmont Healthcare is an integrated, not-for-profit healthcare system made up of seven hospitals, 19 urgent care centers, nearly 100 physician offices and 1,600 Piedmont Clinic Members across greater Atlanta and North Georgia. They connect healthcare professionals to their purpose – to make a positive difference in every life they touch.
With over 70% of employees requesting a space for team collaboration and better remote access, they deployed Interact software as a collaborative, social, and scalable solution to keep pace with their growth and demand. Piedmont’s Director of Internal Communications, Kelli Newman, shows us that it is possible to engage 13,500 employees over 100 sites with her remarkable award-winning entry for Piedmont’s intranet, ‘The Village’ for the Interact Excellence Awards. Piedmont secured the win for ‘Best Launch’, in celebration of an innovative and well-executed launch process that ensured the intranet achieved its objectives and engaged its users.
