Now in their 10th year, the Excellence Awards sees entries spanning small non-profits through to international brands, giving a unique insight into the success of those at the forefront of internal communications.

Entries to the Excellence Awards are submitted under seven main categories. In addition there is a Judges' Awards for Innovation, awarded to entries that don't fit inside the box of an existing category, but deserve unique recognition.
Best Intranet Launch Award
Getting users excited and onboard with a new intranet comes with unique challenges. This award celebrates those who are innovative in encouraging adoption across their entire workforce.
The Best Stakeholder Award identifies those executives who have played a vital role in breaking down barriers and getting staff onboard. It highlights the work they do to deliver successful and engaging digital workplaces.
With the Best Success Story Award, we take a look at those intranets that have transformed the way their organization communicates, connects, operates and delivers success for their organization and staff.
The Essential Intranet Award looks at how organizations have embedded their intranets into the heart of the organization, by pushing intranet functionality to the limits and making it critical and transformational to their business.
All entries into the Excellence Awards are considered for recognition in this category, with previous winners demonstrating true innovation or creativity in using their intranets to address some of the more complex or niche challenges in their organizations.

For the 2020 Excellence Awards, Interact was supported by a 9-strong panel of global intranet, communications and engagement professionals who judged all entries.
Andrew Wright is the founder of the Worldwide Intranet Challenge (WIC), the world's largest intranet and digital workplace end user satisfaction study. An intranet and digital workplace consultant for over 15 years, Andrew has completed projects for organizations of all shapes and sizes from all industries.
Elizabeth Mull is a senior communications leader with over 25 years’ experience in employee and HR communications. Elizabeth has her Masters in Organizational Media and Communications and is a graduate of Universum Global’s Employer Branding Academy. She is Director, Employee Communications at TEGNA, a media and broadcast company that operates 62 television stations and four radio stations in 51 markets.
With more than 20 years working in digital corporate communications, Beth Gleba brings experience, passion and forward-thinking to our intranet community. She is the Intranet Director at BCD Travel, a global managed-travel company, based in Amsterdam. She is also a published researcher and active consultant with the London-based Digital Workplace Group. Beth is the co-host of the monthly webcast Digital Workplace Live.
Employee Experience guru and Communications Manager for the Digital Workplace Group, Ephraim is a constant on the employee engagement circuit. A digital strategist, internal communications manager and intranet manager, Ephraim works closely with organizations to transform the employee experience, build positive organizational cultures, and drive productivity and performance.
Sam Marshall is the owner of ClearBox Consulting and has specialised in intranets and the digital workplace for over 18 years, working with companies such as AstraZeneca, Vodafone, TUI Travel, Sony and GSK. Focused in the areas of intranet and digital workplace strategy, Sam is the lead author of the annual 'SharePoint Intranets in-a-box' report and a regular keynote speaker at international conferences around the world.

With a reputation of spearheading innovation and driving change inside Interact, Simon's approach is key in creating the collaborative technology solutions that Interact provides to their global client base.
Steve Bynghall is a freelance consultant and writer, specialising in intranets, collaboration and knowledge management. Steve produces and coordinates Step Two Design's Intranet & Digital Workplace Awards, and is a consultant, knowledge manager and benchmark evaluator for the Digital Workplace Group. Steve recently set up a new intranet strategy, governance and measurement training company with Chris Tubb called Spark Trajectory.
