Interact names Wedge Black as its new Intranet Consultant
25th May 2011 – Interact today announced that intranet professional, Wedge Black has taken up the post of Intranet Consultant at the company. Wedge will be combining his practical experience with his knowledge of intranet best practice, to ensure Interact Intranet customers are utilising their intranets to their full potential. He will be providing valuable direction to help customers develop and implement a user-centric, strategic intranet.

Wedge, described by industry experts as, “Mr Intranet” and the “best up-and-coming young talent” in the intranet space, started his career in 2004 managing the global intranet for the 40,000 employees at telecoms equipment firm, Marconi. Following a company take-over in 2005, Wedge designed and implemented a new intranet for the newly formed business, Telent.
In 2008 he took up the post as Internal Communications/Intranet Manager at Severn Trent Water where he spear-headed their main intranet in addition to managing three external corporate websites.

He has guest written for simply-communicate.com – the community for internal communication professionals and his articles regularly get re-published on the website of intranet consultants, IntraTeam. He has attended some of the industry’s largest intranet conferences and regularly liaises with some of the most noted figures in the intranet world.
