Tara Powers

Head of Internal Communications at S&P Global

Tara Powers is Head of Internal Communications for S&P Global. In this role, she leads a team of strategic communicators responsible for bringing the company’s vision, purpose, and values to life for its 35,000 people across the world. Tara brings more than a decade of experience in driving executive communication strategy, M&A and integration communications, crisis management, and global employee engagement. Identifying as a storyteller first, she can craft the compelling message behind a complex corporate initiative. Previously, Tara held communications roles of increasing seniority within both the Corporate enterprise and S&P Global Ratings. Earlier in her career, she led Sales Communications for Avon Products, where her team was charged with launching key strategic initiatives to Avon’s independent sales representative population. Tara began her career in the publishing industry at W. W. Norton & Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English with honors from Villanova University, as well as a master’s degree in Irish and Irish-American Studies from New York University. When she’s not crafting communications strategy, you can find Tara exploring Connecticut’s walking trails with her spouse and 1-year-old daughter.

    Maya Chawla

    Senior Manager, Digital Marketing at American Red Cross

    Maya Chawla is a communications professional with over a decade of experience in internal messaging, brand marketing and digital transformation. Currently, she is the Manager of Digital Marketing at the American Red Cross, working to drive the success of the newly launched intranet, OneSource. Prior to this role, Maya was a Senior Communications Specialist where she developed communications strategy for a variety of Red Cross organizational priorities, both proactive and reactive. During this time, she also acted as a spokesperson for the Red Cross in response to multiple disasters. Maya began her career at the Red Cross in the field as a blood donor recruiter for the Carolinas Blood Services Region. It was these various roles and perspectives gained over time with the organization that helped shape the vision of the new intranet. When she’s not thinking about how to communicate effectively with an internal audience, she’s spending time with her three boys and husband usually enjoying the great outdoors.

    Katherine Ide

    VP Corporate Communications & CSR at Audacy

    Katherine Ide is a Vice President of Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Audacy. She is a strategic and results-oriented leader with a proven track record of success in developing and executing communications strategies that engage employees, build brand awareness, and drive business results. Katherine has over 20 years of experience in the media and communications industry. She began her award-winning career as an on-air talent, program director, and operations manager for various radio companies in Texas. She later moved into the corporate side of the business, where she held various roles in marketing, communications, e-commerce, and operations. At Audacy, Katherine has led the development and execution of several high-profile communications initiatives, including the project management of the company's rebrand and the refining of the corporate social responsibility strategy. She also launched and now oversees the company's internal communications and is a strategist for employee engagement. Katherine is a graduate of Midwestern State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications.  Katherine, or “Katy,” is an avid reader with questionable book taste. She is married with two sons, one graduating from college in Spring 2024 and one starting first grade in Fall 2023. She volunteers in her community and sings some wicked karaoke.

    Randall joined Acadian in 2009 and was promoted to vice president 2013. He leads a team responsible for developing and implementing communications and marketing initiatives for Acadian’s six divisions. A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, he served in various advertising, marketing and public relations roles in agency and in-house settings for more than 35 years. Randall is a private pilot and enjoys volunteering in his community. He is active in Lafayette’s Mardi Gras activities and has served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana, the University of Louisiana Alumni Association, Acadian Air Festival, Sertoma Cajun Air Show and Louisiana Honor Air.

    Allison Isaacson Beahm

    Director of Communications at SERVPRO

    Allison Isaacson Beahm joined SERVPRO HQ’s Training Division in 2013 to develop a best practices program, host personal development workshops, and help improve the company’s operating system. In 2017, she joined the Communications Department—creating the organization’s first KPM resources and developing editorial and multimedia content about storm events, industry events, and SERVPRO franchise teams. From 2019 to the present, Allison has been leading SERVPRO HQ’s Communications Department which is responsible for editorial management, intranet management, field reporting, multimedia services, public relations, brand reputation management, digital asset management, digital signage, peer-to-peer best practices dissemination, and fostering company culture. Her team’s purpose is to drive awareness of information and resources to maximize utilization of the company’s operating system. Throughout her career, Mrs. Beahm has served on the board of directors of nonprofits such as the Sumner County Family YMCA, Restore Small Groups, Pope John Paul II Preparatory Academy, and First Responders Children’s Foundation. Allison Isaacson Beahm graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2012 with majors in both economics and communication studies as well as a minor in corporate strategy.
