      In this talk, Laura Jones, Digital Workplace Lead at The Co-operative Bank relates how the leading ethical bank launched a new intranet to 3,500 staff and then used it to support the organization’s transition to hybrid working.

      Laura will discuss the challenges she faced in leading a digital transformation project that streamlined the number of employee-facing platforms from four down to just one.

      Laura will also focus on how “The Buzz” supports The Co-operative Bank in its goal to be the UK’s best-rated high street bank for ESG and outline how future features and functionality will enhance the Bank’s employee experience.

His current activities focus on intranet and digital workplace strategy, and the business side of Microsoft 365. Sam is a regular keynote speaker at international conferences and has been named a ‘Contributor of the year’ for his CMSWire column seven years in a row. In 2015 Sam was given the Intranet Now award for 'remarkable contribution to the intranet community'.

    In her 8 years of working for the Co-operative Bank, Laura has held a few different comms roles. She is now their Digital Workplace Lead and is in charge of managing The Buzz, the ethical bank's Intranet. The project to overhaul the Co-operative Bank's old company intranet (replacing their 5 bespoke platforms with just one) took 3 years to complete and has enabled the Co-operative Bank to transition towards a hybrid working model.
