The Priory Group is the leading independent provider of behavioral care in the UK. Dedicated to helping people improve their health and wellbeing, the group currently treats more than 70 different conditions through a nationwide network of facilities that support individuals’ health, care, and specialized needs.

We saw opportunities within Interact to effectively and innovatively design, grow and develop the content that we could offer to colleagues who previously hadn’t been engaged with online. We have used the platform as a way to showcase news stories and develop a friendly dialogue with more site-based teams who now regularly send in stories for us to share with the wider Group.

Challenges

The Priory Group’s previous intranet had limited design and development options and was only accessible to desk-based colleagues or those with access to a Priory device.

 

In order to communicate important messages and engage with the majority of their non-desk-based colleagues, the organization required a product that was accessible on colleagues’ personal devices any time, anywhere. This decision was made following feedback from the group’s COVID-19 communications survey held at the start of the pandemic.

Solutions

While My Priory was a rapid launch in the wake of the pandemic, it was quickly recognized as a necessary comms tool relevant to every member of the organization.

 

  • Alongside hubs focused on news, wellbeing, and employee recognition, the intranet team established a range of diversity, inclusion, and team network areas. These network areas include the LGBT+, BME, and Women’s networks, and are central to representing minority areas within the organization.
  • The Group has also used the new intranet to effectively and innovatively design, grow, and develop content for all colleagues.
  • My Priory has become a way to showcase news stories in a visually appealing way.

Benefits

Having already enrolled thousands of new users, the Priory Group continues to develop key areas containing relevant information and useful resources. My Priory enables the Group to encourage engagement with more non-desk-based carers, nurses, and support staff. By providing essential, informative, social, and fun content, the intranet gives teams valuable material for use in their daily routines or when they require support at work and at home.
