Huddle is an integral piece of cross-functional communications at Indeed; and other teams, like Brand Marketing and our Enterprise team rely heavily on it when launching massive external campaigns (like our Super Bowl ad campaign or new products).
10,000 ‘Indeedians’ (Indeed employees) speaking 28 languages, and located across 14 countries, need to be integrated and stay connected to the company’s rapidly growing global community.
Indeedians need continual exposure to the company’s mission, strategy, performance, and culture, no matter where they sit.
The incumbent intranet provided increasingly poor experiences, including lack of mobile access and an inability to surface the right content.
With the introduction of Huddle, Indeed’s new Interact-powered intranet, the company put a lot of work into making this new site the only source of dynamic information and communications for all Indeedians.
They worked with 204 Indeedians to evaluate, audit, and migrate content to Huddle, deleting what was not needed. After filtering through 38,066 blog posts, microblog posts, pages, forum questions, and channels, they worked closely with Interact’s content strategists to migrate the content into a structure that is backed by proper UX and that works for Indeedians. The UX was reviewed and improved through tree testing by employees representing all functions.
Huddle has won plaudits from Indeed’s staff for improving their employee experience. An improved UX, alongside engaging content and senior buy-in, means the platform is now integral to cross-functional communications and company culture. Several KPIs are now measured monthly to continue to improve the platform:
- Active users.
- Profile completion.
- News content views.
- User satisfaction.
- Search terms and Best Bets.
